Knights in Mix for 4-StarReceiver
Time has passed since Andre Debose made that miraculous catch at the Citrus Bowl, but Harris can now sit back and remember the catch and somewhat admire what his opponent that day did.
"It was an awesome catch," Harris told InsideKnights.com. "Tevin (McCaskill) had great coverage on him, there was nothing we could do. We had no business letting them back in the game, it was crazy and it hurt to lose, but we learned from our mistakes."
Since the loss, Harris has summoned up the courage to return to Orlando, as he has been to UCF's campus.
"I've been on there track before but I didn't see everything. It's a big campus though. I do plan on taking another trip there though."
The Knights will be in stiff competition with schools like Miami, Ole Miss and others for Harris' services. The four-star receiver has received offers from the aforementioned schools and has also taken visits to Tennessee and Rutgers. As of now though, Harris said one school stands above the rest.
"I don't have a top list right now, but Georgia is probably number one. They have a great atmosphere and aren't afraid to play freshmen at wide receiver."
Harris made it clear that there was nothing more important to him than playing time.
"It's the biggest factor of all. I want to make an impact wherever I go and start right away."
Harris said he had a good relationship with Coach David Kelly and that the Knights were certainly up there for him.
As a track star, Harris is looking to go to a school that offers both, which might be a problem for UCF, as the Knights only have a women's track team. Still, UCF has been known to start freshmen players early when they are deserving and Harris knows he can contribute at UCF.
