Video Profile: UCF Commit CB Corey Ammons

Corey Ammons was UCF’s second commitment this summer and the Knights are excited to have him on board for 2009. Ammons will be relied on to add depth and lessen the blow of losing the team’s entire starting secondary.

At 6’0”, 181 lbs, Ammons offers good size for a cornerback and also has solid speed. He is currently ranked two stars and is the 151st corner in the nation according to Scout.com. Ammons is a playmaker and isn’t afraid to mix it up and attack runners coming out of the backfield, which is rare for a lot of corners. Ammons will need to refine his tackling technique some before heading to UCF, but his willingness to be aggressive is something that coaches covet and cannot teach.
