UCF Player Suspended Due to Arrest

Ricky Kay (UCF Athletics)

UCF's football program received another blow this weekend, when sophomore fullback Ricky Kay was arrested. The Deland graduate is charged with two counts of felonies related to vandalism inflicted on UCF property.

Kay caused damage at the school that costs a reported $5,000. The Florida native admits to punching signs and pipes in the stairwell of a packing garage in Tower 4 on campus. After Kay struck one of the pipes, it burst, causing a significant sized flood in the garage.

The former walk-on was released on $1,100 bail and has since been suspended from the team until the charges are resolved.

The Knights have had their share of hardships in the past few months and Kay's arrest will certainly add stress to the coaching staff and athletic department.

InsideKnights.com will keep you informed on Kay's suspension and the disciplinary actions that the team will take in regards to Kay.
